What a way to celebrate Thanksgiving… watching the 2015-2016 edition of Syracuse basketball upsetting #!8 UConn! And it was a great game too, with both teams playing well offensively. With the win, Syracuse moves forward to face #25 Texas A&M for the Battle4Atlantis title.
The Orangemen continue to have offensive balance, with 5 players in double-figures against UConn. It also looks like Jim Boeheim has settled on a core, five-man rotation of Cooney, Gbinije, Lydon, Roberson, and Richardson–the five players who scored in double-digits (17, 17, 16, 14, and 13, respectively). Although Dajuan Coleman only played 13 minutes, he was able to snare 8 rebounds. Gbinije had 17 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals.
Moving forward, the Orangemen will play #25 Texas A&M, who was able to defeat Gonzaga to force the matchup. The last time Syracuse faced the Aggies, the Orangemen lost in the first round…
