The Confidential Bracket Update: March 22, 2014

Congratulations to Pittsburgh, Syracuse, North Carolina, and Virginia for winning their first round second round games.  Also, these are interesting times in the ACC, with Buzz Williams on board at Virginia Tech and Jim Calhoun expressing interest at Boston College.  In a game where coaches are very important, the ACC is stepping up.  Your move, Wake Forest.

Anyway, here is the leaderboard update for the Confidential’s Bracketology contest after Round 1:

  1. I though VT wouldve gone after Shaka Smart. Calhoun should stay retired. BC or Wake should look at Masielo, turned 6 win Manhatten into 20+ win tourney team.

    • Yeah, sometimes it is hard to leave a program and go to a nearby one. Smart will probably go farther away out of respect for VCU.

Calhoun will do fine at BC. Would be a great hire for lots of reasons.

Not sure where Wake goes really. Masielo is as good as anyone. Maybe even Archie Miller?

      • Calhoun would do great at BC but how long does he have left? Didnt he retire from UConn for health reasons?

You maybe right about Smart but he would be great for VT. Buzz is a good hire though.

With all of Archies seniors this maybe the time to pull him away, why not Wake.
