Syracuse Football Reality

Eschewing the requisite third-person writing format for a moment, I am a diehard fan of Syracuse University.  I went to football games at Archbold Stadium, including the last one ever played there.  I went to a game during the year in between that stadium and the Dome.  I was a student attending the game in 1987 where an undefeated Syracuse team utterly destroyed hated Penn State.  I have been to road games and bowl games.  I bleed orange.  But, with a rumor that Syracuse is planning to schedule Wisconsin, I can only shake my head at the institutional delusion inside the athletic department (shared by some fans).

THE NBA DRAFT, ACC RECAP

Not sure why the title of this entry is all-caps, but… well… too lazy to fix it.  In any event, the ACC had a very good NFL draft, with 9 players drafted in the first round.  The first round of the NBA draft went pretty well too, with 7 of the first 30 selections coming from the ACC.  Overall, 12 of the 60 selections were ACC… exactly 20%.  Given that 14 players were from foreign countries, that means that 12 of 46–selections were ACC, more than 25%.  Not too shabby.  Nicely done, ACC!

Week 15 Fantasy Football Results: FINAL!

The Confidential is running a fantasy football contest each week and during the regular season.  Here are the rules.  With one week remaining (the bowl season), There are three teams now in the running for the overall prize–which is given to the entrant who wins the most weeks.  That winner gets the $75.00 prize.
