New Divisions for ACC?

Well, another football season is behind us. The regular season, anyway. There is a lot to decide yet regarding bowl games and such. But, alas, it is time for the final regular season Confidential Correspondents ACC football poll. For fun, let’s take a quick look at the Week 1 poll results:
If Florida State, Ohio State, and Auburn all win, there will be a lot of debate as to which two teams should play in the National Championship game. If you read the Big 10 fans’ comments, there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth regarding the “system”–especially ESPN–being anti-Big 10 and pro-SEC. All one can say is… what goes around, comes around.

The Confidential acknowledges that Pitt/Miami have already squared off, but there is little argument that the game did not feature a rivalry at the same level as most of the games this week. Still, Miami’s win kept them alive in the battle to reach the ACC Championship game. But the main event is today’s slate of games. Let’s take a closer look.
There are now a clear #1 and #2 in the ACC right now, then it gets crazy. Anyway, here is the Confidential Correspondents Football top 10 Poll for Week 13. Remember, we include Notre Dame and Louisville. This year, we’ll start with team number 10 and work our way to #1.
Just like football, some or all of the Confidential correspondents gather to vote on the top 10 in the ACC (including Louisville). For the first poll of the year, the votes are scattered. As they should be. We’ll save the analysis for some future weeks. Here is the Week 1 Top 10:
