Virginia Football: The Over/Under

This article is the next in a series of articles in which the Confidential selects the over/under for football wins in 2014.  We’ll take a cursory look at the schedule and determine what we think is the point where folks will struggle to select “over” or “under.”  We hope people will share their comments as to “why” they are going over/under.  If you disagree with our over/under choice, of course, feel free to let us know too.  The second team up: Virginia.  We are going with an over/under of 4.5.

Aug. 30 UCLA
Sept. 6 RICHMOND
Sept. 13 LOUISVILLE
Sept. 20 at BYU
Sept. 27 KENT STATE
Oct. 4 PITT
Oct. 18 at Duke
Oct. 25 NORTH CAROLINA
Nov. 1 at Georgia Tech
Nov. 8 at Florida State
Nov. 22 MIAMI
Nov. 28 (Friday) at Virginia Tech

Likely losses: Louisville, Duke, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Miami (5)

Likely wins: Richmond, Kent State (2)

Toss-ups: UCLA, BYU, Pitt, North Carolina, @ Georgia Tech (5)

There are no easy games on the schedule for the Wahoos.  But, other than Florida State, would are any of the “likely losses” impossible wins?  Not really.  Anything can happen with this schedule.   Like Wake Forest, we’ll split the toss-ups and go with an over/under of 4.5
