Boston College Football: The Over/Under
This article is the next in a series of articles in which the Confidential selects the over/under for football wins in 2014. We’ll take a cursory look at the schedule and determine what we think is the point where folks will struggle to select “over” or “under.” We hope people will share their comments as to “why” they are going over/under. If you disagree with our over/under choice, of course, feel free to let us know too. The seventh team up: Boston College. We are going with an over/under of 5.5.
Here is the Boston College schedule:

Toss-ups: @ Wake Forest, Pitt, Syracuse
Boston College’s road to a bowl game this year has some obstacles. The OOC schedule is favorable, with winnable games in 3 of 4. But getting three conference wins will be tough with a slate that features a trip to Virginia Tech on top of the regular division foes. The good news is that Pitt and Syracuse are home games. We’ll go with an over/under of 5.5 for Boston College.

Other over/unders: Wake Forest (4.5), Virginia (4.5), Notre Dame (8.5), Miami (7.5), NC State (5.5), North Carolina (6.5), Boston College (5.5)
I like BC last coaching hire, I expect them to improve upon last season. With Pitt, Syracuse & Loiisville at home I see 6 wins, 7 if they beat those 3.

I don’t see them beating Syracuse who will be much improved this year.
