Capital One Cupdate – Unofficial Final Standings – UPDATED

Update: Capital One Cup has confirmed that UCLA is the Men’s Winner. See below for the revised final standings.

The College World Series of Baseball is over, and as every good Big Ten fan knows that can only mean one thing: time to hand out the Capital One Cup honors, which is the most important way of measuring a Conference’s success, behind of course how much revenue that conference distributes to its teams.

The official results have not yet come out, however based on the final rankings of College Baseball, we can extrapolate who the winner will be.

That was probably enough to earn him a huge suspension from Coach Roy Williams. But it turns out that was only the beginning.

The Confidential believes its only a matter of time before teams in the ACC get behind this trend as well, so here are some suggestions for ACC team home courts that we would like to see: Read more…

NCAA… Getting it Right?

The NCAA will be implementing new rules for college basketball.  While the sporting world awaits refbots, the rule changes will help the games and the officals.  The womens’ game will now be featuring a 10-second backcourt rule, which is fairly self-explanatory.  But there will be several changes to the mens’ game.

Before we focus in on the 2013 football season lets jump ahead a bit. It’s still early in the 2014 recruiting process but the Cardinals are putting together one of their best classes ever. Louisville first ACC class brought in 15 commitments already, a number that is highly unusual for them. ESPN, Scout and Rivals are still evaluating the 2014 class and as the athletes compete in their senior season there will be many changes in the rankings.
