New York Knicks Sign Undrafted N.C. State’ Forward C.J. Leslie

Former N.C. State forward C.J. Leslie measured 6’8.5″ (in shoes), 198 lbs with a 7’1.5″ wingspan at the 2012 Amare Stoudemire Skills Academy. Now he’ll be calling Stoudemire a teammate. The New York Knicks reached a deal with the undrafted free agent. Now it will be up to New York to tap into the potential of an explosive athlete who was projected to be a first round draft pick coming into what would be his final season playing for the Wolfpack.

ACC & Pinstripe Bowl

Look, this is not even news.  Once it is announced, it will just be the fulfillment of what has been speculated for weeks.  And it also makes complete sense.  The Pinstripe Bowl will matchup the Big 10 and the ACC.

Louisville 2014 Football Recruiting Update

With the Louisville Cardinals historical 2012-13 year coming to an end with a disappointing CWS performance its time to start looking ahead. Before we focus in on the 2013 football season lets jump ahead a bit. It’s still early in the 2014 recruiting process but the Cardinals are putting together one of their best classes ever. Louisville first ACC class brought in 15 commitments already, a number that is highly unusual for them. ESPN, Scout and Rivals are still evaluating the 2014 class and as the athletes compete in their senior season there will be many changes in the rankings. Miami & Lack of Control

The Miami athletic department is having to answer to the NCAA regarding its lack of institutional control.  As a reminder, the NCAA contends that Miami booster Nevin Shapiro “provided $170,000 in benefits to players, recruits, coaches and others between 2002-2010.”  So Miami is faced with the lack of institutional control allegations.

 

That’s kind of interesting, isn’t it?

The Confidential Cup!

As previously noted, Big 10 fans do not like the Capital One Cup.  Now, the world could be polite and let the Big 10 have its complaints and criticisms.  But not the Confidential.  The Confidential is creating its own “Cup,” this one being so very ACC-centric that it will be sure to anger Big 10 fans.  Here is the scoring system:

Capital One Cup Criticism

Yesterday, we shared the exciting news of the Capital One Cup victory by the North Carolina women.  But did you know that not everyone likes the Capital One Cup?  Indeed, fans of the Big 10 (remember, the Confidential’s motto for the Big 10 is “first in money and nothing else”) are unhappy that the Capital One Cup (gasp!) assigns different points to different sports.  Here is our response to that…
